euphoria by Calvin Klein Eau de Parfum Spray Reviews

Delicious!5

I don't usually go gung-ho over fragrances--I've owned a few over the years that I liked and found attractive in fragrance, but when I first smelled Euphoria in a magazine ad I was hooked. The scent is warm, woody, full and sweet with a light oriental touch. And what's best is that Euphoria smells creamy, as though once you spray it on your skin it seeps into your skin as though it were a lotion. If there is one fragrance that is a Must-Have for 2005, Calvin Klein's Euphoria is it.

Whoever said it was heavy...is too sensetive.5

I really like this perfume. It is not heavy, but quite light, playful and cinamony sweet. It is very refreshing, and stays on very niceley. When it wears out a bit after some time, it smells super nice. I recommend it because its a flirty scent, and good for any occasion. Love it. 5 stars.

a mesmorizing scent5

This is definitely one of my favorite fragrances of all time. It's a beautiful combination of allure and femininity, but without the sometimes overpowering florals that are out in the market. The woodsy floral is just the thing I run to when I want to feel a little special, but not overtly sexy. I usually separate my perfumes into "day" and "night" perfumes, but this is one that I can wear any time without feeling like I'm going to cause my classmates to faint from the smell. My fragrance wardrobe inclues: Dior Pure Poison, Dior J'dore, Chanel Chance, Alfred Sung Shi, Escada Island Paradise, and Estee Lauder Pleasures.

"The search for the divine mark the history of the men.The oldest known is the smell of smoke that reeked of burning wood, spices, herbs and incense. Hence the origin of the word perfume: per, through fummum and smoke. In 3000 BC, the Egyptians believed that their prayers to the gods would arrive faster if they travel in clouds of fragrant smoke. They also believed in reincarnation and fragrances used for mummification. By 1500 BC, Queen Hatshepsut egípica there were several rituals dedicated to beauty. One of the most curious was the use of perfumed cones on his head, which, in addition to reducing the effect of strong sunlight, kept the skin. They brought oils flavored with leaves, roots, herbs, flowers, milk and honey, which the melt with the heat running down his face and had a refreshing and emollient effect.
A trip into the past

Liking to perfume themselves was not the only merit egípcios.Por around the year 800 BC, the Greeks already exported oils of flowers and plants maceradas.E, according to Greek mythology, Aphrodite is also considered the deity of fragrances. On the road of scents, the city of Babylon in Mesopotamia, became the commercial center of spices and perfumes around 650 BC Two centuries later, the king of the Persians Alexander the Great, gave seeds and seedlings of Persia to his teacher in Athens, Theophrastus. He was the first author of a treatise on odors. In the book, detailing revenue aromatic, described validity periods, indicated for therapeutic purposes and also spoke of the importance of protecting the scents of the sun, for light and heat alter their odor. The lesson is still valid today. Another important figure marks the use of flavorings, but as an artifice of seduction. Cleopatra. She performed rituals to enhance their perfumed drawing power. Anointed the body with aromatic essences, creating around himself an aura of magic. He also received Marco Antonio, his great love, in a bed covered in petals rosa.Antes poisoning and took a bath and perfumed with the finest fragrances. When the soldiers found dead in his quarters, they still might feel its intoxicating perfume. The great empire conquered by the Romans contributed to the expansion of perfumery, flavorings because they consumed more heavily. In the imperial period of Roman taste for incense and perfume out of bounds. Even the horses were perfumed. The exaggeration was so much that the emperor Nero ordered for the funeral of his wife, Poppaea, higher than the amount of incense that all Arabia could produce in ten years. The speaking of Arabs, they exported their empirical knowledge to other people and spread also scientific concepts to other people, such as distillation. The process has progressed with the Chinese and was responsible, centuries later, by the creation of concentrated alcohol. The precursor to the toilet water, the Water of the Queen of Hungary, appeared in 1370, and was first prepared in fragrant alcoholic base. The research continued in distilleries and led to the extraction of various essential oils. In 1612 was founded in Florence, Italy, Officina Profumo di Santa Maria Novella, from whose womb the Dominican friars produced scents, ointments, balms and other medicinal preparations, since 1221. Many of these formulas, manufactured to date, were worn by Catherine de Medicis, a Florentine nobleman who moved to France in 1533 to marry King Henry II. In his caravan was her personal perfumer, Rene and Renato Bianco.Conhecido Blanc, France gave him lessons in the art of perfumery and has created the first perfume boutique in Paris, which gave a definite boost to production and marketing of aromatic items.

The perfume has conquered the world

The fragrances of Catherine de Medici were made in Grasse, a small town in southern France. Louis XIV, the "Sun King", which was very sensitive to smell and had a scent for every day of the week, also got their bottles of the charming French city.It was King Louis XV and his mistress, Madame de Pompadour, who encouraged the diffusion of perfume from France across Europe. That's because she, true to the Rococo style, dictated fashion, beauty and art of the time. They say that I spent hours on the toilet, bathing soaps with lavender flowers and other herbs. Incremented astringent and wore her hair with scented ointments. The rose was the main element of most fragrances, mixed with lavender, clove, nutmeg, oak moss and iris. Madame de Pompadour also loved violets and perfume her gloves had neroli. With the generous encouragement of her lover, she encouraged the prosperity and the town of Grasse moved from craft production to the fragrance industry. But it was not that small town that started the World Day of Water in Cologne. The story goes that was the Italian Jean-Marie Farina, in 1714, registered in the German city of Cologne, a product name Kölnische Wasser (Eau de Cologne ...). It was made with natural essences Italian: neroli, bergamot, rosemary and lavender diluted in neutral alcohol (this water is sold until today by Roger & Gallet). Later in 1790 came the famous Kölnische Wasser 4711, created by Mülhens. The connection of this perfume as the world of French perfume happened to the Seven Years War. That's because the city of Cologne has received an honored guest, and Farina won a poster boy weight: Napoleon Bonaparte. According to the story, he poured a whole bottle of this water on the head. For Napoleon, sex and smell were closely linked. After staying for months in battle, sent notice to his beloved Josephine: "I'll be back in three days did not bathe." All because she loved remarkable scents such as musk and patchouli, and he loved the refreshing. When Napoleon became separated from Josephine to marry another, she did not hesitate: musk spread the imperial quarters. This caused Napoleon remember her for a long, long time. Vendettas aside, he was responsible for putting France ahead in scientific research and production of luxury items. The Bonaparte family had another distinguished personage in the world of scents: the exquisite espanola Eugenie, wife of Louis Bonaparte, nephew of Napoleon. The empress has launched a new style of perfume: Eau Impériale, a mix of citrus and lavender notes. Considered refreshing for the poor women of the time, suffering with the corsets, the fragrâcnia was established in 1861 by Guerlain ono bottle and had the coat of Bonaparte: bees hand painted in gold. Luckily, by mid-1900 the women were changing and celebrate life. The Belle Epoque shook art, fashion and fragrance. Perfumes and toiletries gained ground. Women packed the elegant Parisian cafes and fragrant variety. With the arrival of the 20th century. Paris was the most chic cities and fragrance has become synonymous with sophistication, with bottles made of Lalique crystal. In the famous Exhibition of Decorative Arts and Modern Industry, held in Paris in 1925, the French perfume had been definitively linked to fashion and has established himself as a rich universe to be conquered. But that's another story "
